Fatin Amirah, President of Student Representative Council (MPP) UPM, Session 2022/2023

SERDANG, April 5- Fatin Amirah Mohd Hisham, a third-year student of Bachelor of Arts Malay Language and Linguistics from the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), has been appointed as the President of the Student Representative Council (MPM) for the 2022/2023 session.

UPM Vice Chancellor, Dato’ Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, presented the appointment letter at the Senate Hall in the Canselori Putra Building, UPM here, last night.

Dato’ Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan said that the MPP is the backbone of university management in caring for the welfare and well-being of UPM students.

"Use the trust given as best as possible for the welfare of the campus community. The UPM MPP is a liaison agent between the management and UPM students in ensuring effective communication and dissemination of information to the students," he said.

Meanwhile, Fatin Amirah hopes that her leadership can continue the excellence of the previous MPP and support the objective of preserving student unity outlined by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT).

“Throughout my leadership, the three main pillars that I will uphold are strengthening student autonomy, prioritising student welfare, and fostering togetherness in UPM leadership,” she stated after the MPP session 2022/2023 appointment ceremony.

During this appointment, a total of 44 students were selected to take on the responsibility as MPP members. – UPM
