CYBERJAYA, January 17 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) received the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Strategic Partner Award from the Minister of Communications and Digital, YB Fahmi Fadzil, at the 10th Anniversary of the Klick Dengan Bijak (KDB) Ceremony here today.

UPM Chief Librarian, Mr. Mahbob Yusof, was present to receive the award on behalf of UPM Vice-Chancellor, YBhg. Dato’ Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman.

YB Fahmi said in his speech that the effectiveness of the implementation of the KDB could be seen through the study of the Impact of the Effectiveness of KDB to Participants, which was carried out by UPM researchers in 2022.

“The findings showed that the KDB programme was essentially successful in raising awareness about cyber security among the respondents, and it showed a positive change in the knowledge of internet users regarding online risk management,” he said.

Previously, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Moniza Waheed, Senior Lecturer, Department of Communication, Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), UPM, researched the KDB: Safeguarding Youth in the Digital to evaluate the effectiveness of the KDB videos produced by MCMC. - UPM
