BATU PAHAT, Feb 18 – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has participated in the exhibition booth at ‘Jom Masuk IPT’ programme in conjunction with Keluarga Malaysia MOHE Carnival that was officiated by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, at MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) Batu Pahat here.
Prime Minister and Higher Education Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, also visited UPM’s booth that exhibited and promoted study programmes offered in UPM Serdang Campus and Bintulu Campus, Sarawak.
UPM also organised the Women Cancer Awareness Exhibition (Cervical Cancer) and Demonstration of Breast Self-Examination at Putra Outreach Bus, Medical Checkups, and Briefings on Stroke Treatment and Dietary Advice conducted by UPM Teaching Hospital (HUPM).
Also present were Johor’s Chief Minister, Dato’ Hasni Mohammad, MOHE Secretary-General, Dato’ Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar; MoHE Deputy Secretary-General (Management and Development), Dr. Mohd Zabri Yusoff; UPM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman; Deputy Director (Management) HPUPM, Mohd Nazri Md Yasin, and Division of Academic Governance, UPM, Mohd Firdaus Zakaria.
The programme was organised to promote the involvement of MOHE and Higher Education Institutions (IPTs) and ensure the community able to understand and appreciate the concept of Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family). - UPM
