BANGI, October 4- UPM Vice-Chancellor, YH. Dato' Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, attended the International English Test (IET) launching ceremony by the Minister of Higher Education (MoHE), YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad at Bangi Resort Hotel here today.

UPM will be one of the universities that act as a strategic partner to intensify further and ensure the effectiveness of the implementation of IET.

IET is MoHE's effort to diversify assessment instruments such as the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

This assessment is also aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference or CEFR, an international reference scale specially designed to reflect the competency and mastery of English and other languages.

IET will become an alternative test of English language competence not only for local students but also for international students. – UPM
