The Guru Celik Bahasa Kebangsaan Programme – Winner of AINS 2017

SHAH ALAM, Oct 24 - The Guru Celik Bahasa Kebangsaan Programme of Universiti Putra Malaysia won the grand prize for the Institute of Higher Education (IPT) category at the Selangor Innovation Awards (AINS) 2017 ceremony.

The four-member team consists of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vijayaletchumy Subramaniam as the main researcher and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Che Ibrahim Salleh, Thiviyah Manicam and Sivaneswary Sivaratanam as co-researchers.

They received a trophy and RM10,000 from Selangor Menteri Besar, Dato' Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali at the award presentation ceremony at Sultan Abdul Aziz Silver Jubilee Hall, SUK Selangor on Oct 12.

Prior to this, the Guru Celik Bahasa Kebangsaan programme had won a silver medal at the International Conference and Exposition on Inventions by Institutions of Higher Learning (PECIPTA 2017) which was held in Terengganu from October 7 to 9. 

AINS 2017 aims to provide opportunities for the people of Selangor including individuals, civil servants, private companies, school and IPT students to come up with creative and innovative new ideas towards the innovation culture in the state.

The assessment mechanism for AINS involves product identification, innovative products from nine districts and 12 local authorities (PBT) in Selangor.

 

AINS is divided into eight categories and one special award i.e.:

i) Public Sector Category (Local Authority)

ii) Public Sector Category (District/Land Office)

iii) Public Sector Category (Other Agencies)

iv) Private Sector Category

v) Institutions of Higher Learning Category

vi) School Category

vii) Prototype/ Original Idea Category

viii) Grass-roots Category

 ix) The Best Final Product Special Award
