SERDANG, March 22 – A Bachelor of Education in Guidance and Counselling graduate, Siti Khadijah Abdul Halim, has succeeded in achieving the success dreamed by her late father and grandmother at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) 45th Convocation Ceremony today.

Siti Khadijah, an orphan and the youngest of 10 siblings, said the loss of loved ones was not just an excuse for her to continue her success, but it gave her the strength to move forward.

"Everyone has their own strengths, but the strength I have is that I am a person who works hard to get something, and for me, it is not easy to get something without hard work," she said.

Siti Khadijah, 25, who hails from Perak, also shared her survival tips while continuing her studies; among them was to respect the lecturers because they are second after the parents who give blessings for the knowledge learnt.

"I also have to compete in my studies with my classmates because there are many excellent students, which makes me want to be the best among them," she said.

She also had the opportunity to share some unforgettable sweet memories with her coursemates at the faculty from the beginning to the end of the semester, and they are still together now.

She plans to continue her studies at the highest level in the field of education and proceed with her dream of teaching in school. - UPM
