APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHANCELLOR OF UNIVERSITI PUTRA MALAYSIA (UPM)
Please be informed that YBrs. Professor Dr. Mohd Roslan bin Sulaiman has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), effective from 1 September 2020 to 31 August 2023.
YBrs. Professor Dr. Mohd Roslan bin Sulaiman, 51 years old, obtained a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM) in 1994 and subsequently continued his studies at the doctoral level in Nervous System Physiology at The University of Edinburgh, Scotland, the United Kingdom in 1999.
He has served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), UPM for almost three (3) years and held several administrative and academic positions, including the Chairman of the Board of Principals of UPM Student Residential Colleges and Deputy Dean (Student Affairs and Alumni) of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPM. He has been carrying out the duties as UPM Vice-Chancellor since 1 July 2020.
He has extensive experience in managing student affairs, as well as ensuring the implementation of various programmes aimed at strengthening the culture of volunteerism, leadership and students' soft skills. He has also published more than 200 research results in high-impact journals.
I believe with this appointment, YBrs. Professor Dr. Mohd. Roslan will be able to continue his achievements and contributions in maintaining UPM excellence and subsequently restoring high-tech agriculture as the main thrust area of UPM.
