SERDANG, June 12 – A total of 38 participants aged between 12 to 19 have participated in the Let's Listen to Nature 6.0 (LLTN6.0) 2022 programme organised by the Biology Students Club (KMB), Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

With the theme "Shelter Nature, Assured Future", the programme aimed to provide awareness of nature and the importance of its conservation to the participants of Genius Pintar from PA Desa Rejang Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.

The programme was held physically at the Rejang Setapak Village PA Multipurpose Hall, Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with the Youth Empowerment Centre (PERKASA), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Programme advisor, Dr. Mohd Noor Hisham Mohd Nadzir, said he hoped the programme could be implemented again in the next academic session with further improvements and more interesting ideas.

Programme director, Sofea Nadira Mohd Sazali, said she was grateful that the planning and efforts given for several months to execute this programme yielded positive results and a success.

"I hope each participant gains knowledge and awareness and can apply the knowledge from the Let's Listen to Nature 6.0 2022 programme in daily life to maintain the nature’s well-being," he said.

Meanwhile, the programme designed two main activities to achieve the objectives, which are Module 1: Stronger Together and Module 2: Nature Race. The programme's main focus could be achieved through the implementation of Module 2: Nature Race, which covers six sub-activities or checkpoints.

The activities implemented in the form of games aimed to attract the interest and focus of the participants on the game content, which is the nature and the importance of its preservation. Therefore, participants could learn and play at the same time.

The programme further enlivened the participants with a prize-giving session, especially the participants who showed potential and the group that managed to collect the highest marks in each activity.

Sponsorship and support from the Faculty of Science, UPM, Biology Student Club and Youth Empowerment Centre (PERKASA) enabled the organiser to do a better programme. - UPM
