UPM, UNHAS enter into academic and research collaboration

MAKASSAR, Jan 9 – University Putra Malaysia (UPM) has entered into an academic and research collaboration with Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS) through the exchange of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) here. 

UPM Vice-Chancellor, YBhg. Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman said the Faculty of Forestry and Environment (FHAS), UPM, will share their expertise and strategic collaboration in academic programmes and research through the MoU.

“This regional collaboration provides an opportunity and international experience for UPM and UNHAS students to be involved in mobility programmes, such as credit exchange, industrial training, joint supervision and research attachment,” he stated.

Meanwhile, UNHAS Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, said this collaborative effort is aligned with his vision to be a reputable university and a centre of excellence which excels locally and internationally.

“This is aligned with UNHAS’s vision to prepare a learning environment of quality for students based on the current needs and expand the field of science, technology, art and culture for universal benefits,” he said.

The MoU is in line with UPM’s vision to be a university of international repute. –  UPM
