The program themed “Sayangi Anak Yatim” (Love Orphans) aimed to provide an opportunity for KMB students to engage in volunteer activities while honing their communication skills when interacting with orphans.

Among the activities carried out with MAWARKU were the poster drawing and colouring competitions categorised into primary and secondary schools, aerobics, "Let's Play and Learn" and "Origami is Super Easy" activities. A session to teach how to properly brush teeth and wash hands was also conducted.

In addition, a ceremony to present gifts and hand over donations in the form of goods and cash was held.

The Principal of Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College’s representative, Askina Aziz said that this programme was organised to produce graduates who have a high spirit of volunteerism and are willing to contribute to the community at large.

"The programme is expected to educate students to always be aware of the surrounding community, and the collaboration with MAWARKU is an effective medium in producing students of high character towards the community," she said.

The programme director, Low Jing Ting, also said that this programme would not have been possible without the help of all parties, especially the members of the executive committee, who were very committed to making this volunteer programme a success.

"Thanks to the cooperation of all parties, especially the leading representatives of MAWARKU, we were able to join hands in organising the volunteer programme, and I thank the committee members from both sides for their cooperation in making this programme a success," she said. - UPM
