UPM students hold Handicraft Workshop for kindergarteners

SERI KEMBANGAN, May 13
– Some 29 students majoring in the Co-Curriculum Credited Course in Handicraft (QKH2101) from the Centre of Co-Curriculum and Student Development (PKPP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), held a handicraft workshop for kindergartners of Tadika Bahtera Khalifah (Little Caliphs), Bandar Putra Permai, Seri Kembangan, Selangor.


The workshop was aimed at instilling some seven elements of soft skills among students to enable them to establish a strong network of cooperation with the society and institutions of higher learning as well as creating leadership qualities, spirit of cooperation and teamwork.

The Craftywarriors’ handicraft workshop with the theme "Let Be Crafty, Creative, Enjoy and Have Fun" was led by Nuratiqah Shafizal as the programme’s director and Miss Nurul Asyikin Mohd Taib as group facilitator.

A total of 36 kindergartners from Tadika Bahtera Khalifah (Little Caliphs), aged six years, took part in the session. Two handicraft sessions featured the DIY Pencil Topper and DIY Owl pillow. - UPM
