UPM Mosque Wins MPSJ Clean and Beautiful Mosque Contest


SUBANG JAYA, 31 Jan – The Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Mosque was adjudged the cleanest and most beautiful mosque in the MPSJ “Clean and Beautiful” contest 2011 organized by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ).

UPM Assistant Registrar, Wan Mohd. Radzi Wan Ismail received a cash price of RM500 together with a replica on behalf of  the University Islamic Centre, which was the official participant in this contest begun in May last year.

Wan Mohd. Radzi revealed that the judges considered various aspects including cleanliness, beauty, aesthetics, facilities, landscaping and environmental safety.

The contest was for eight categories: Primary Schools, Primary and Secondary Schools, Education Institutes/Colleges, Buildings/Resorts/Tourism Complexes, Private Office Buildings/Factories, Single/Double Houses, Middle lot Terrace Houses and Traditional/Villages/Traditional Houses.
