SERDANG, March 27 – Universiti Putra Malaysia’s (UPM) Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing (MyAgeing™) hosted the Global Money Week 2023 (GMW2023) closing ceremony at the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) level here today.
The Director of MyAgeing™ UPM, Prof. Ir. Dr. Siti Anom Ahmad, said that GMW2023 is a global awareness-raising campaign organised by the Financial Education Network (FEN) with the slogan 'Learn. Save. Earn' and the theme "Plan Your Money, Plant Your Future".
She said this programme is a platform for financial literacy discourse and an approach to lifelong education, aiming to educate young people, especially in making prudent financial decisions.
"The GMW2023 has been going on for a week, simultaneously all over the world, starting from March 20 until yesterday, March 26, 2023. Through this programme, MyAgeing™ UPM also collaborated with UPM’s Faculty of Human Ecology (FEM) in organising programmes throughout the week”.
"MyAgeing™ UPM also implemented the Financial Education and Literacy Hub (MyFiLE) that functions as a platform for translational research on financial education," she said.
She explained that MyFiLE offers services such as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certification Programme, Personal Financial Health Checks, and Financial Guidance, as well as, the 'Jom Belajar' webinar and relevant financial courses.- UPM
