UPM and Perdana University enhance the quality of academic and joint research

SERDANG, April 27 – Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FPSK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Perdana University have collaborated to enhance the quality of academic and research, today.

UPM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datin Paduka Dato 'Dr. Aini Ideris said collaborating with both local and foreign institutions is one of UPM's strategies to improve the quality and relevance of its academic and research programmes.

"This cooperation involves academic exchanges (training/research), exchange of undergraduate and post-graduate students, exchange of information, joint research activities, joint training and seminars and workshops, and appointments of staff as external consultants or appraisers for the development of new academic programmes," she explained.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by UPM Vice-Chancellor and the Vice-Chancellor of Perdana University, Prof. Dr. Zabidi Azhar Mohd Hussin. Also present were Deputy Dean of Academics (Medicine) FPSK, Prof. Dr. Zamberi Sekawi and Registrar of Perdana University, Norpisah Mat Isa.

The firm relationship between the two universities has been established since July 6 last year upon UPM’s management visit to Perdana University followed by several subsequent meetings. - UPM
