UPM and Innopolis University collaborate for ICT promotion

SERDANG, 1 March - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Vice-Chancellor YBhg. Dato' Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Innopolis University, Russia, in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) today.

The MoU, established through the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM), UPM, is an effort towards building a strong partnership in technology learning and ICT promotion.

The main objective of this MoU collaboration is to exchange the best practices and innovative experiences of ICT between these two higher learning institutions. Furthermore, the MoU aims for an exchange of faculty members and students in learning, visitations, initiation of joint experiments, practicum, and implementation of other collaborative projects.

Besides, the MoU strives to develop joint-research areas and form other areas of collaboration that will be mutually agreed upon by these two entities in forming a synergy of bilateral expertise.

This effort also essentially facilitates UPM to achieve Goal 2 of UPM Strategic Plan 2021-2025, which is Establish a Research and Innovation Hub that Generate Value Based on a Sustainable Ecosystem.

Also present at the event were UPM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail and Dean of FSKTM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Razali Yaakob. -UPM
