UC, SUC-ACAP sign MoU virtually to strengthen interest among members

SERDANG, Aug 10 - A virtual Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony hosted by Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) was held recently.

The MoU was signed between members of the Southeast Asian University Consortium for Graduate Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC) and State Universities and Colleges – Association of Colleges of Agriculture in the Philippines (SUC-ACAP), an association of both public and private higher education institutions in the Philippines offering Agriculture programs. 

Signatories during the ceremony were from Institut Pertanian Bogor (Indonesia), Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia), Kasetsart University (Thailand), Universiti Putra Malaysia (Malaysia), University of The Philippines Los Baños (Philippine), Universitas Brawijaya (Indonesia), Tokyo University of Agriculture (Japan), National Taiwan University (Taiwan), the SEARCA and the SUC-ACAP.

For UPM, the MoU was signed by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman and witnessed by Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Zalilah Mohd Shariff. Upon signing the MoU, Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan was given an honour to deliver remarks on behalf of UC.

The MoU aims to strengthen the interest of all members to encourage and promote academic exchanges, mobility of students as well as research and teaching staff, and exchange good practices and organize joint/dual/multiple degrees offered jointly by the members. - UPM
