Three UPM lecturers won 3 golds at iENA exhibition in Germany

GERMANY, November 1 – Three lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), have successfully won three gold medals at the International Trade Fair, Ideas, Inventions, New Products (iENA) 2022, which took place on October 27 to 30, 2022, at the Exhibition Centre, Nuremberg Hall 10, Germany last October 30.

The first gold medal was won by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, UPM, Prof. Ir. Mohd Khairol Anuar Mohd Ariffin, with his industry partner, Ir. Dr. Abdul Azim Abdul Rahman, Steelcase Malaysia, through the Post Conditioning Injection Molding Machine for Glass Filled Nylon (Polyamide 6) project.

Another gold medal was obtained through the product "Digital Cell Library as a Service (DiCLaaS) for System-on-Chip Design" by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Fakhrul Zaman Rokhani and Ts. Dr. Mohd Salahuddin Mohd Basri through the product GEOCOAT - A Novel Fire Retardant Coating Based on Agricultural Waste.

Prof. Ir. Mohd Khairol Anuar said participation and victory like this are very important to further increase collaboration and networking with researchers from UPM and industry across the world without borders.

In addition to promoting researchers' inventions to international partners, this participation also builds academic networks and collaborations with leading universities and industries worldwide. - UPM
