SERDANG, March 23 – Giving birth while pursuing her Master of Pathology did not stop Dr. Nurul Suhaili Kamarudin from successfully holding her master’s scroll at the 45th Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Convocation Ceremony.

According to Dr. Nurul Suhaili, 37, she has four children, and a pair of them were born while she was pursuing her master's. Nevertheless, she managed to defend her thesis even though she was still in confinement.

"Among the reasons for my success is good communication I have with my partner, an understanding family and good time management, and I will always lay out a plan at least a month in advance to make sure things run smoothly," she said.

"I have a lot of fears, but I choose to face the fears and rise" were the words held by Dr. Nurul Suhaili until she achieved success.

Meanwhile, her husband graduated with a PhD in Public Health on the first day of the 45th UPM Convocation Ceremony.

Currently, she and her husband work at the Tawau District Hospital and Health Office, Sabah. - UPM
