PENANG - Associate Professor Dr. Noor Aina Dani, a Bahasa Melayu Faculty Lecturer of the Modern Language and Communication Faculty, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), recently received a 2015 Bahasa Melayu Academic Appreciation Award at Universiti Sains Malaysia
She received cash of RM3,000 and a certificate presented by Deputy Education Minister, P. Kamalanathan in conjunction with the 2015 Education Sector Bulan Bahasa Kebangsaan celebration.
Dr. Noor Aina who hails from Kundasang, Sabah, has been lecturing at UPM for almost 20 years and her expertise is in the field of Applied Linguistics and Psycholinguistics.
Saying she had been studying Bahasa Melayu for two decades, the appreciation award was invaluable.
The Bahasa Melayu Academic Figure Award is given to academicians in recognition of their vast contributions and relentless pursuits to empower Bahasa Melayu – UPM.
