Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir appointed as Professor of Practice at Putra Business School

SERDANG, 9 Oct - Perak Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir was appointed as Professor of Practice at Putra Business School (PBS) Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

The appointment was announced by UPM Vice Chancellor, Professor Datin Paduka Dr. Aini Ideris at the PBS Dialogue Session here entitled “MB3P and Perak’s Transformation Journey” with Perak Chief Minister.

It is a recognition of his ongoing efforts and commitment to bridge the gap between academic and industry practices.

Also present at the dialogue session was Chief Executive Officer of Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR), Dr Mazalan Kamis; President & Chief Executive Officer of PBS, Prof. Dr. Zulkornain Yusop; and Dean of Fakulty of Economics and Management UPM, Prof. Dr. Azali Mohamed.

Speaking to the press later, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry said that the appointment is a tribute to the entire Perak people.

As a government leader, he said that he is always willing to share his experiences in relation to management and leadership with the PBS and UPM community.

“This appointment has injected more enthusiasm to the state administration team in ensuring Perak continues to enjoy a more sustainable future,” he said. 

Earlier in the dialogue session, he explained the MB3P strategy as well as efforts undertaken in advancing the economy and development of Perak.

At the event, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between PBS and IDR to carry out research and joint projects related to the interests of both parties.

Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Aini said that through the dialogue session, students were able to gain knowledge from the experiences of the Perak Chief Minister. - UPM
