SERDANG, March 24 – Almost 14 years of being involved in sports did not stop Kwong Kar Jun, 27, from successfully completing a Master of Education in Sports Science at the 45th Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Convocation Ceremony today.

Time management was his primary key to dividing his time between studying and training despite managing a sports club.

Kar Jun’s busy schedule did not stop him from spending time with his friends.

“I want to prove that athletes are also capable of achieving success, and my hard work paid off when I was qualified to receive the Gold Award from UPM Sports Centre for five years in a row,” he said.

The athlete in athletics admitted that he spent most of his time recovering due to his injuries, and he currently works as Head Coach (Kawan Athletics Running Club).

Kar Jun also thanked his family for their endless support for all his decisions. The support from his family members inspired him to further his studies at a higher level.

He advised all UPM students to always be brave in trying even though they may not always achieve their dreams. - UPM
