SERDANG, Mar 14 - The Alumni Relations Centre, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), has organised “Menggamit Seribu Kenangan: Alumni Reunion (MEKAR) Siri 7”: the UPM Alumni Charity Football Match programme in collaboration with Serdang Bees 40-an.

The football match took place on the night of March 11 at UPM Sports Centre’s Stadium between Serdang Bees 40-an and Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Alumni Legend to strengthen the friendship between the two teams.

In the meantime, the match had also collected donations for the former manager of Serdang Bees, Rozaini Ab Rahim, who fell ill (heart problem).

President of UPM General Staff Union (KEPERTAMA), Norsyahriman Md Arif, who officiated the football match that night, said the match increased the value of friendship that had long been established between the players of Serdang Bees 40-an together with UUM Legend.

“These people in their student days were players who represented their respective universities. Therefore, it can bring back the memories of their glory days and strengthen their friendship since they have not seen each other for a long time.”

“I also suggest that we (UPM) can go to UUM to play football there too. Also, thank you to the Alumni Relations Centre for inviting KEPERTAMA to participate in this match,” he said. - UPM
