SERDANG, Jan 12 – Three members from a family successfully graduated and became alumni of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) at the 44th UPM Convocation Ceremony today.

Farah Nini Liyana Mohamad Zuhaidi graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Food Service Management) with Honours from the Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM) together with her brother, Amir Imran Hariz Mohamad Zuhaidi, who graduated with a Diploma in Agriculture.

The siblings were joined by their nephew, Ahmad Imran Ahmad Zaidi, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness from the Faculty of Agriculture, UPM.

Along with them, Ahmad Imran's brother, Ahmad Irfan Ahmad Zaidi, also graduated with a Bachelor of Food Science and Technology (Honours) degree from FSTM, but he was unable to attend the 44th Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Convocation Ceremony due to work.

Inspired by their cousin, the family picked UPM as the first choice for their studies from the foundation studies level to the bachelor's degree level.

Having family members studying at the same university made the journey of seeking knowledge a little easier for them.

However, it was slightly different for Amir Imran Hafiz, who pursued his diploma at UPMKB, as he was separated from his family in Kuala Lumpur, yet the long-distance was not an obstacle for him to complete his studies. - UPM
