SERDANG, July 12 – Approximately 5,000 students and staff of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and guests attended the joyous UPM 2017 Eid celebration which served various delicacies.
The Vice Chancellor of UPM, Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Aini Ideris said that the celebration provided an opportunity to strengthen the bond and promote unity amongst everyone in UPM regardless of race, religion and rank.
“This celebration is a good platform for all university students and staff from various Centres for Responsibility (PTJ) to meet and get to know the management and senior officers of the university,” she said.
The celebration was held at the Main Hall of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PKKSSAAS) Arts and Culture Centre, UPM from 11:30am until 2:00pm. The event became more exciting as it also celebrated staff who were born in the month of July. - UPM
