22 countries participate in ICRAAM 2020

 

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 6 – A total of 120 participants from 22 countries attended the International Conference on Recent Advances in Applied Mathematics 2020 (ICRAAM 2020) here.

The participants were from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates (UAE), the United Kingdom and Uzbekistan.

ICRAAM 2020 was jointly organised by the Institute for Mathematical Research (INSPEM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM); Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, UPM; and COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan.

The conference was officiated by the Chairman of UPM Board of Directors, Tan Sri Dr. Ghauth Jasmon. 

The conference covered a wide range of fields in applied mathematics, including Cosmology, Fluid Dynamics, Geometric Numerical Integration, Numerical Computation, Difference Equations, Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Cryptology and Statistics and Operational Research.

“The conference updates participants on recent developments in science and applied mathematics, especially on the topics mentioned,” said Tan Sri Dr. Ghauth while officiating the event. 

ICRAAM 2020 was organised to ensure the mathematical research activities are always kept abreast of recent developments and the findings are able to help researchers to be more aware of current issues.

INSPEM UPM could also widen its scope of research network with external institutes and agencies to further enhance research and to generate funding. - UPM
