Convocation is the official university ceremony enriched with regal protocols and tradition, a ceremony that is to be remembered by, especially among the graduates. It is a commemorative occasion where students will be presented their degree certification after completing their studies in UPM. UPM produced its first batch on July 30^th 1977.

UPM made history in the public varsities convocation for producing the highest number of PhD graduates in the country hence it is a reflection of the University’s strength in research on 2010.
