UPM Students Won the

SERDANG, 31 July – Four students from Putra Business School (PBS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) won the SCB Future Leader Challenge competition organised by Siam Commercial Bank in collaboration with Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.

Cheah Fuh Yuen as leader of the group said, the group named 'The Challengers' succeeded in the "99-second Pitch Winner" competition.

The Challengers group who are students of Master of Business Administration, Cheah Fuh Yuen, Loh Wai Mun, Kogillavanan Munusamy and Hoo Yien Ting received certificates and a cash prize of 2,500 Thai Baht (RM 321.68).

"We applied what we have  learned in the classroom as well as knowledge acquired through case studies and meeting sessions. Besides that, it was an opportunity for us to get acquainted with scholars from all over the country," he said.

At the programme, a dialogue session with the Minister of International Trade and Industry (Miti) II, Dato 'Seri Ong Ka Chuan and AppAsia Berhad Advisory Group, Dato' Nazifuddin Dato’ Seri Najib Razak was also held.

The dialogue aimed to expose students and lecturers to global and domestic current issues in business.

Meanwhile, Dato' Nazifuddin also delivered a lecture on how to capitalize on business opportunities based on existing trade policies in an uncertain and ever changing global economy. – UPM
