SERDANG, Nov 8 - Despite being busy with their studies, the love for knowledge sharing and charity have resulted in two Putra Business School (PBS) graduates of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to not only receive their master's degree but also win the prestigious Human Governance Award.

Nor Azhar Manap was conferred with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (International Business) while Mafidah Mansor received a Master’s Degree in Management (Information Technology) at the 19th convocation ceremony of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)-Private Higher Education Institutions (UPM-PHEIs) Collaborative Programmes. Both of them also received the Human Governance Award.

Nor Azhar, 37, who works as a Chief Assistant Secretary at the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, believes that one would not lose anything by sharing and disseminating knowledge to others as this would promote success in life for everyone.

Nor Azhar, who is also the President of the Putra Student Association, said that a busy family life did not prevent him from organising various welfare programmes for the community, as he believes that managing and allocating time wisely are crucial if one intends to succeed in any field.

While Mafidah, 42, who works at the Inland Revenue Board, said that being a career woman and a mother at the same time, was not an obstacle for her to complete her master's degree and being involved in community based activities.
