By Noraida Ahmad Zaimi

SERDANG, Nov 19– Just as one has to have aim and to fully concentrate in the shooting range, so was the focus given towards his studies by a national shooter, Muhammad Zubair Mohammad, which had led to his success in obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer & Communication Systems).

Muhammad Zubair, 27, received his degree at the Universiti Putra Malaysia’s (UPM) 43rd Convocation Ceremony here today.

“I have had to attend classes and complete assignments while making preparations to participate in championships at various levels. This required me to stay focused in everything I did.

“I also had to be wise in managing my time both for training and studies,” said Muhammad Zubair, the winner of the Laos SEA Games 2011 (silver), Singapore SEA Games 2015 (silver) and the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games 2017 (bronze).

He said he was happy and grateful to be called an undergraduate after five years of studies and hoped to continue with a Master’s degree in UPM.

“This success is the result of strong encouragement from family and friends,” he said. – UPM
