SERDANG, Jan 25 - Some 70 Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) ex-staff of the Office of Registrar held a luncheon which was attended by former Registrars and ex-officials of the Registrar’s Office to strengthen fraternity and solidarity among them.
Chief Executive Officer of National Professors Council (MPN), Prof. Datuk Dr. Raduan Che Rose who used to serve the Office of Registrar, also turned up at the luncheon held at UPM’s L'apprenti Cafe Golf.
In his welcoming speech, Prof. Datuk Dr. Raduan expressed his gratitude to those who were present at the event.
He also expressed hope for such a programme to be continued in the future.
At the event, former staff of the Office of Registrar donated more than RM1,000 to UPM Wakaf Knowledge Fund.
The donation was handed over to the Director of Wakaf, Tithe and Endowment (WAZAN) Centre, Dr. Razali Othman, who also used to work at the office.
He thanked those who donated towards the fund while expressing hope that the donation will motivate other UPM residents to contribute towards charitable cause to assist those in need of help and support. – UPM
