SERDANG, 10 Nov - Faculty of Human Ecology won the Administration Management Star Rating Award at the ceremony of Hari Kualiti and Inovasi Perkhidmatan (HKIP) Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) 2017.
A group from the Faculty received RM2,000 in cash, a certificate and a trophy at the ceremony of HKIP here today.
Bahagian Hal Ehwal Pelajar (BHEP) won the second place, and Faculty of Engineering won the third place.
The Award for HKIP Theme Creation is won by DK Masni Pg Kifli from the University Health Centre (PKU) with the theme ‘Inovasi Mengilham Masa Depan Gemilang.’
The Award for Innovative Ideas is won by five innovators; Farizal Muzammil Abdul Wahab (Faculty of Engineering), Johan Budiman Nurthani (Faculty of Engineering), Hanafiah Ismail (Sultan Abdul Samad Library), Mohd Sopian Mohd Zin (Faculty of Forestry), and Siti Nur Alifah Abdul Rahman (School of Graduate Studies).
The Award for Quality Qorkplace is won by Faculty of Human Ecology, Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Food Security and Sultan Abdul Samad Library, whereas the Award for Lean Management is won by PKU.
The Award for Innovative and Creative Group (KIK) is won by Langit Putra Group from the Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s Office (Research and Innovation).
Meanwhile, the Award for Innovative Services, Technical Category, is won by Ladang 10 UPM Group (Faculty of Agriculture), whereas the Management Category, is won by The Core Group (Internal Audit Division), and the Award for Web Management is won by Alumni centre.
The Award for Best Occupational Safety and Health Management Category A (Faculty/Institute/Centre/Division/Office with office environment) is won by School of Graduate Studies.
For Category B (Faculty/Institute/Centre/Division/Office with a combination of office environment, laboratory, workshop, agriculture and others) is won by Institute of Bioscience, whereas Category C (Colleges), is won by College 14.
The Award for Best Accountability Index (Asset and PTJ Inventory exceeds 1,2000 unit) is won by Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
During her speech at the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Aini Ideris said, all members of UPM should cultivate the culture of quality and innovation in services because an appreciation of such culture enables the delivery of services in a more effective way.
‘Innovation needs to be blended in culture and practice of all members of UPM, regardless of level and service scheme, to create different products and innovations for us to be competitive in the higher education industry,’ she added.
She said that, improvement in quality service delivery is crucial for UPM to become an option to stakeholders from within the country and internationally. - UPM
