Asasi Education Fair 2014 to help students obtain information

Serdang, Feb 26 - Centre of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science (Asper), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) had organized Asasi Education Fair 2014 to provide students the opportunity to gain more information about the programmes they intend to choose.

Asper Director, Prof. Dr. Mahiran Basri, said the event was able to help students to have a clear idea of the minimum qualifications required to enter respective faculty.

"The exhibition that has been organized annually for three years was aimed to provide more information to students in choosing their desired degree programmes.

"Students will work hard if they want to study in the area of their ​​interests after receiving clear information," he said.



A total of 700 foundation students attended the three-day exhibition to seek information about all the 16 faculties and undergraduate programmes offered by the university.

Besides its students, Asper also invited 27 schools including UPM adopted schools and schools around Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya in promoting Asper as well as UPM.

The highlight of the exhibition came in the afternoon when Asper offered five giveaway bicycles to its students. Prizes were sponsored by the Asper management to support UPM efforts in becoming a green campus.
