164 UPM mobility students feted to farewell high tea

SERDANG – A total of 164 international mobility students of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) was feted to a ‘Farewell High Tea Ceremony’ organized by the International Division (IO) recently.

The programme was to enable mobility students to share their new experiences on UPM and Malaysia in addition to getting their feedback on programs which had been held by IO, UPM.

The hi-tea was attended by UPM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), Prof. Datuk Dr. Mad Nasir Shamsudin and other IO officers.

The students who were from Semester 2 2014/2015 and Semester 1 2015/2016 came from several countries, including Brunei Darussalam, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Thailand, Netherlands, Turkey and Vietnam.

The mobility students were assisted by 20 local students who acted as “buddies’ and picked by UPM’s IO.

Presently, there are students from 60 countries in UPM. - UPM
