SERDANG, August 20, 2015 – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) have jointly organized a Nobel Laureates Outreach Camp (NLOC) in an effort to produce promising scientists and researchers of international  fame.

MARA Director-General, Datuk Ibrahim Ahmad said the programme, themed “ Scientists Of Tomorrow” will help inject a positive perspective on sciences to gain the interest of students to choose the field in the future.

The four-day NLOC programme which commenced from August 17 to 20 saw the participation of 150 Form Four students from 42 MARA Junior Science College in the country.

“They were exposed to hands-on learning methodology for lifelong experience that could draw their interest to take up the field of Sciences.

“In line with this effort, the programme, hopefully, could produce fledgling  scientists and researchers with excellent  expertise that could sharpen their soft skills,” he said when closing the NLOC programme.
