Biorefinery UPM receives educational visit from YSFHS Japan

SERDANG, Jan 18 – The Biorefinery Complex, Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences (FBSB), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), received an educational visit from the Yokohama Science Frontier High School (YSFHS), Japan, recently for research collaboration.

During the visit, 18 students and two teachers from YSFHS shared their knowledge and research proposals with six postgraduate students, one postdoc and three lecturers from UPM.

YSFHS engaged UPM to broaden students' exposure to research culture since at school and to establish a long-term collaboration between these two institutions.

The meeting, which started at 10 am and ended at 4 pm, exposed the students from both institutions to their research expertise, facilities, and cultural exchange.

The YSFHS delegation was also taken on a tour around the UPM area, where they enjoyed the scenery of UPM and learnt about the facilities and services offered here. - UPM
